Hot on the heels of the Grammy nominee list being announced by the Recording Academy, BTS’ ARMY (the groups fandom) voiced out their disappointment when their favourite septet didn’t earn a single nomination. Even Halsey, the singer who collaborated with them for their single Boy With Luv weighed in on the issue.

“Deleting and ignoring all the negativity. BTS deserved many nominations. I am however, unsurprised that they weren’t acknowledged. The US is so far behind on the whole movement. The time will come.”

Luke Waltham, a proud BTS ARMY tweeted: “I’m gonna say it now: with all the sales, streams and top rating for Map of the Soul: PERSONA, @BTS_twt at least deserved a nomination for Album of the Year. I said what I said. #GRAMMYs.”

Comprising of Jin, J-Hope, Suga, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook, achieved three Billboard number one albums in a single year, beating Beatles’ record. They became a global sensation thanks to their hits like ‘Love Yourself’ and ‘Fake Love’.

The big news comes shortly after Swift’s win at the American Music Awards when she took home six AMA trophies in addition to being celebrated as the ‘Artist of the Decade’. Congratulations, Taylor!
