What is life without music? Boring. We all know how music is an essential part of our lives – it’s like food for your mood. Undeniably, music is meant to be enjoyed by everyone at anytime of the day. That’s why we are highly dependent on music streaming apps like Spotify.
Now, the music app has introduced something new and simple for music lovers, called Spotify Lite. A statement from its official website states that Lite is a small, fast and simplified version of its unparalleled music experience that works much like the main Spotify app.
That being said, the app functions just as it normally does which allows you to search and play your favourite songs and artists, save them, share with others, but it’s added with a few extra features.
The objective behind the lighter version of the app is to enable people to access music regardless of their network connectivity, data plan or whether they have the latest smartphones.
It was noted that the Lite app is only 10MB in size, so this makes it ideal for people who don’t have the space for big applications. They can easily control their data and storage.
The app comes with the ability to set a data limit and you can be notified when you reach it. Lite is compatible with any device running Android version 4.3 or higher.
Users will be able to use it with either a free or a Premium account, but they can still opt to use it alongside the main app when their network connectivity isn’t too strong.
Currently the app is available across 36 markets such as Brazil, Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Peru, Chile, Colombia, Bolivia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Uruguay, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Algeria, Lebanon, Morocco, Tunisia, Oman, Jordan, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, South Africa, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, India.
