This fall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate Middleton will embark to Pakistan to mark their first official visit to the country.
The news comes hot on the heels of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s plan to tour South Africa which will take place this year too.
According to a statement by the Kensington Palace, it stated: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will undertake an official visit to Pakistan this autumn, at the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
“Further details will be advised in due course.”

Though this marks the Prince William and Kate Middleton’s first time to Pakistan, Her Majesty The Queen had previously visited Pakistan in 1961 and 1997.
Meanwhile, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall had paid a visit back in 2006.
In 1991, Princess Diana went to Pakistan by herself for the course of three days where she visited Islamabad, Lahore and the Northwest Frontier.
Meanwhile, in a press statement, Mohammad Nafees Zakaria, the High Commissioner for Pakistan said: “The people of Pakistan still cherish and fondly recall the visits of Her Majesty The Queen to Pakisan during 1961 and 1997.”
“The upcoming Royal Visit is a reflection of the importance the United Kingdom attaches to its relations with Pakistan. The two countries enjoy historical links which both sides wish to strengthen further.”
