After months of anticipation, the new generation of iPhones are here!
The swanky new gadgets were introduced at the Apple event held in Cupertino California yesterday along with a slate of other products.
Besides the trio of new smartphones which include the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone Pro Max, Apple also announced details on the Apple Arcade, Apple TV+, a new iPad, and the Apple Watch Series 5.
Months leading up to the release of the new Apple products, word on the grapevine was that Apple was betting big on new camera features.
True enough, the company had upgraded its respective camera systems, making way for wide-angle photos and improvements on the battery life.
While all three devices look fairly similar to their predecessors, its said to offer faster performance than before especially with its A13 Bionic processor.
First, let’s begin with the iPhone 11. The iPhone 11 boasts a 6.1 inch LCD screen, with a dual camera system (12MP wide and 12MP ultra-wide) that comes with new portrait mode lighting so you can up your photo game. This range also comes in a crop of six vibrant colours namely purple, yellow, green, white, black and PRODUCT(RED). Price starts from $699.
Both the iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max are equipped with a new Super Retine XDR display, which basically means the brightest display ever in an iPhone. But what kicks things up a notch is its tri-camera (wide, ultra-wide and telephoto). This is certainly a standout upgrade. The new lens is a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens with a 120-degree field of view, and this joins the telephoto function that Apple has offered in the past. Besides that, the phone also offers new editing functions for video. Prices begin from $999 for the iPhone Pro 11 and $1099 for the iPhone 11 Pro Max.
At the event, Apple also unveiled some new games for its upcoming game subscription service, Apple Arcade which will be launched later this month.
Besides that, the company is replacing its sixth-generation iPad with a new 10.2 inch seventh-generation iPad. It has better viewing angle, improved brightness and incorporated with an A10 Fusion chip. Price is at $329.
As for the new Apple Watch Series 5, it features a new always-on display that can drop to as low as 1Hz refresh to save power. Plus, it comes with fancy new bands and faces too. Made from 100% recycled aluminum, the watch is priced at $399 for GPS models and $499 for cellular models.
